The idea stemmed from a family friend in the foster care system that described their harships faced throughout the process. We now hope to make foster children feel special and celebrated on their birthdays, as many may not have the opportunity to experience a memorable celebration within the system.
It depends on what organization you are hoping to earn service hours for. For Plano East NHS, you can earn service hours by attending one of our gift wrapping meetings or by donating gifts!
Unfortunately, we are unable to give the gifts to the children directly. This is because confidentiality is extremely important for the children and their foster families. However, Judge Delia Gonzales will deliver the gifts safely and with care and you can view the gifts being delivered to them on our instagram page.
